California and Alabama. Don't miss what promises to
be one of the most informative and entertaining

Rev. Greg Stewart's installation.
After a discussion about what it means to be
welcoming, and a discussion about "home", the
children used stamps, hand prints, markers, and
paints to visually express their views. Ages
Kindergarten through 7th grade participated.
Pictures from Driving and from an Outing

And, there was spiritual play afterwards in Golden

The Hawk at our Picnic: Meet Merlin!
from Nicolette Toussaint
Many of you who admired the bird of prey that was
quietly sleeping on a branch above the noise of our
church picnic have expressed wonder about what kind
of bird it was and why it was there.
Nicolette, who sketched the bird, later compared her
image to photos in the Audubon Society's Master
Guide to Birding. She reports that bird was probably
a juvenile merlin.
Technically a small falcon, the
merlin is sometimes referred to as a pigeon hawk.
The merlin spends its summers in Canada and migrates
to the Western US in the winter. The bird's sleep
and apparent lethargy was probably exhaustion; the
merlin was likely recovering from the efforts.
What's the most startling aspect of the
Mark Foley case?
Electrons... and Ink!
