The Illusion Of Time: Clocking Out
Sunday, May 27 at 11 am in the Sanctuary
service conducted by The Reverend Gregory Stewart

Got a minute?

Slowing down in a speeded up world takes more than just intentionality these days. It puts us at odds with everything we're taught in a society in which time is money. What if time (not to mention money) is an illusion?

Liberal religion has much to tell us about time, if only we take a moment and listen.

Joe Chapot will serve as the Worship Associate.

Music will provided by the Kiril Sokolov Men's Quartet from St. Petersburg, Russia, both during the service and at a special pre-service concert in the Sanctuary at 10:30 am. The quartet visited us three years during Memorial Day weekend. This year they are on a tour of California from April 6 to June 10.

You may want to take the time to invite and bring a friend to the service and 10:30 concert!

Coffee and Conversation at the Forum
Forum Sunday 9:45 in the Martin Luther King Room
from Henry Kroll

While many from our congregation are creating community on our annual multi-generational All Church Retreat in the Redwoods and others are traveling to see family and friends, The Sunday Forum will offer "Coffee and Conversation" with light refreshments in the Martin Luther King Room from 9:45 to 10:45.

The Forum presentations will resume on June 3 to share reports by our delegates and others from the recent Pacific Central District Assembly and to learn of promising programs coming up at the national General Assembly in Portland.

I Believe
Credo compilation
bookletfrom Natalie Freeburg, Acting Director of Religious Education

The Coming of Age youth shared their personal credo statements with the Congregation during the worship service last week.

Their individuality was expressed through the spoken word, song, and poetry. Mentors presented the youth with chalice pendants as a symbol of welcome into our community.

If you would like to re-live the credos, or were not able to attend, booklets of the credos have been compiled and are on sale for $5 each. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Coming of Age scholarship fund. The booklets will be on sale at the All-Church retreat as well as from Natalie Freeburg at the church, (415) 776-4580 ext 162.

Wally Cleland , pictured on the right in front of a poster featuring creative ads from the Unitarian Universalist Association, will be at the after-service coffee hour ready to answer questions about the Bay Area Marketing campaign. He will be flying to Amsterdam on May 27 to attend his daughter Remmi's wedding in Best, Netherlands on June 2. Following the wedding, he'll catch the French high speed train (TGV) in Brussels and travel to the south of France to the town of Salernes to visit friends. Following this Rev. Rabidoux will return to Amsterdam and fly back to San Francisco on June 11.
