Sharing the Journey
Sunday, July 1 at 11 am in the Sanctuary
service conducted by The Reverend Craig Scott

Each of us is on a unique journey through this life -- spiritual, intellectual, moral, social. And we meet together in community to support each other and to share stories of our individual journeys.

And yet -- like streams merging to form a mighty river -- our journey together becomes more than just a collection of our personal journeys.

What is our vision for the future direction of this mighty river that we come together to form?

This Sunday we will reflect on some questions about what we want our larger Unitarian Universalist community to be.

Worship Associate Alison Rittger will assist in the service.

Following the service meet Rev. Scott, our guest minister in July, in the King Rooms at an informal reception. A light lunch will be available for a nominal charge.

children playing from Natalie Freeburg, Acting Director of Religious Education

Children over five will meet in the Chapel Sunday to create journals and memory scrapbooks for the summer months. These works can be given as gifts or to kept on the shelf ready to inspire our personal muse!

Participants will use paper, sticks, plastic bags, CD cases, etc. You'll be inspired by how creative you are -- see you there!

Childcare will be provided for children up to the age of five.

The next Playshop will be Sunday, July 15. It will be a walking tour of the church's neighborhood and the houses of worship that surround us. Click for a more complete summer schedule and registration form.

Thirty-eight people from the San Francisco Society attended the annual General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations in Portland last week. Sonnie Willis captured the spirit both inside and outside of the hallways.

The July 8th Sunday morning Forum will discuss What Happened in Portland: a Report from the General Assembly. (There is no breakfast Forum this week.)

Good and Welfare
We extend sympathy and love to Matt Anderson whose father died Sunday while receiving hospice care in Arkansas.

Matt will be out of state throughout July.

I Dream of Nancy...
Nancy Evans asks for your
check Executive Director Nancy Evans, pictured at right receiving an pledge from Rev. TS King, is asking Members and Friends to send in their remaining 2006-2007 pledge payments.

Sunday starts the 2007-2008 fiscal year, so please mail in your pledge or bring it to church!

The summer months traditionally have cash-flow crunches because people are on vacation and not coming to church with their checks. Please help by staying up-to-date (or prepaying!) your pledge.
