 I
joined FUUSSF in 1996. In my work life, I was a Program
Manager at the Department of Social Services until I
retired after 27 years of service in 1999. In my
capacity as a manager I worked on many large projects
and was involved in the interviewing and hiring process.
At FUUSSF, I have served on the Ministerial Relations
committee, am in my second year chairing the Small Group
Ministry (SGM) Steering Committee, have facilitated 2
SGM groups, co-chaired the Silent Auction, and am an
avid attendee of the Sunday service.
I was the RE program assistant for two years until
June of 2005 and have worked as the alternate wedding
coordinator, although I am no longer employed by the
church.
These experiences have sharpened my skills and given
me tools that would enable me to work well with my
fellow committee members to accomplish the important
task of calling new leadership to the Society. I am open
to the process of exploration entailed in the Search and
have not made up my mind as to what we need. I am a
member of the Ministerial model Task Force.
I believe I have the time and energy to take on the
responsibility and can make the long-term commitment
required for this important venture for our beloved
Society. |
