Reverend Margot Campbell Gross Returns from Sabbatical
Members and friends welcomed Reverend Margot Campbell Gross back to the
pulpit August 5th from a seven-month absence which included a sabbatical
journey to South Africa. During the worship service Rev. Gross highlighted
the courage she witnessed in the women she had worked with in a
neighborhood 40 miles outside Johannesburg.
The choir honored Rev. Gross’ return with a rare summer performance. In
addition, the Society’s Bell Choir played “O For a Thousand Tongues to
Sing” arranged by Reiko Lane.
Well wishers filled the courtyard after the service as a reception for
Rev. Gross celebrated the first return of a senior minister from a
sabbatical in over 25 years.
